What you will do: 1. Handle incidents and service requests from ICS service users via email, web form, or telephone, documenting and resolving or escalating as necessary. 2. Perform incident resolution for software, hardware, and peripherals at local and remote locations, also undertaking technical problem management and root cause analysis. 3. Configure and implement new computer systems, including the execution of desktop refresh projects and installation of broadband in remote environments. 4. Manage service request tasks and assume ownership of incoming incidents, including third-party interactions, ensuring all calls are prioritized and monitored efficiently. 5. Resolve incidents and requests within agreed SLA timescales, and collaborate with the Service Desk Manager on calls that breach targets, including IT data and cybersecurity issues. 6. Provide technical front-line telephone support, onsite jobs, and remote support as part of the Service Desk team, on a rotational basis. 7. Accurately record ICS asset data, follow procedures, and manage the ICS storeroom. 8. Use Service Management software to document incidents, maintain asset information and submit knowledgebase content. 9. Monitor system performance, manage automated operational processes, and handle dispatch requirements as needed. 10. Identify improvements for key system operations and provide solutions or guidance to colleagues. 11. Stay informed about IT technologies, delivering professional advice to customers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of ICS services. 12.
