The role will involve supporting our client with the daily hygiene requirements in a fast-paced food production environment. The role is full-time, and the position will require you to work 5 nights out of 7, including weekend work as required. Start time between 18:00-20:00 and finish time between 03:00-05:00. Duties and Responsibilities:To ensure all aspects of the hygiene service are carried out and maintained to the required standardTo manage the hygiene Hours and ensure all expenditure is authorised and recordedTo maintain detailed cleaning instructions and schedules for every hygiene activity that meet the requirements of the BRC food safety standard and specified safety standards for audits.Responsible for the cleaning of air handling, evaporators, and all aspects of high-risk production equipment.To conduct compliance audits/inspections of internal hygiene standards and documentationTo manage the provision of hygiene chemicals and dosing equipment on site - to include regular reviews with the clientTo support the Technical & QA team in obtaining samples for testing and participating in microbiological investigations or projects to drive improvements in the site hygiene standardsTo provide training and awareness for all hygiene staff in all procedures relevant to their roleAttend regular catch-up meetingsRequirements:Minimum of Level 3 Food Safety QualificationExperience of working in a senior Hygiene management role in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment.Knowledge of high-care food environment.Experience of Working with HACCPPeople management experienceExperience of BRC Customer AuditsExperience leading and working with a diverse workforceKey Strategic Responsibilities:Audit the key operational documentation which your team will utilise in order to maintain due diligence in the provision of the contract services provided by CSA. Examples of such documents are: Cleaning schedules (daily and periodic)Projects and plans, compliance testing, Inspections, Training Records & Matrixes. This list is not a full and complete one, there are others, and it is your duty to know and understand the relevant documentation utilised across the contract, and to further develop it according to the most recent legislations, policies, or contract service evolution, with the support of your Operations Manager.Micro awareness and elimination planningCarry out cleaning and related services inspections on site and deal with any non-conformances as a matter of urgencyYou will ensure your Team is also carrying out their inspections, such as Finished Standards Inspections, Methodology Checks or ad-hoc inspections of personnel hygiene and PPE conformance.Maintain staff rotas in such a way as to ensure effective and efficient provision of services without overspend to the agreed budgets. You will assist the Contract Manager in the design of budgets, and then you will manage them effectively. No overspend will be accepted unless prior consent is given to you by your Contract Manager.You will assist the contract manager in managing the site's annual leave requests to ensure sufficient staff are available to provide the agreed service specification.Take a lead in, and be actively involved in staff recruitment, selection, induction, training, and development. Identify training gaps and be proactive to develop a continual improvement ethos across the contract. On-site strategic development with appropriate business headsInnovation & Improvement Planning through a strong working relationshipMaintain a safe and professional approach while working on site.Manage the contract services provided by CSA to the Client.
