What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for individuals presenting with substance misuse needs within the Criminal Justice pathway.
• Develop personalised care and treatment plans tailored to individual recovery goals.
• Prescribe appropriate medications in accordance with your Non-Medical Prescribing qualification and clinical guidelines.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support recovery, rehabilitation, and harm reduction.
• Liaise effectively with healthcare professionals, criminal justice agencies, and partner organisations to ensure coordinated care.
• Provide specialist advice and guidance regarding substance misuse treatment and prescribing.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and review care plans to ensure effective and safe interventions.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant clinical records and documentation.
• Promote harm reduction strategies and encourage service user engagement with treatment programmes.
• Participate in team meetings, service development initiatives, and continuous professional development activities.

Requirements

• Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification: Essential.
• Substance Misuse Experience: Previous experience working within drug and alcohol treatment services.
• Criminal Justice Experience: Experience working within Criminal Justice pathways is desirable.
• Clinical Assessment Skills: Strong experience undertaking assessments, care planning, and medication management.
• Professional Registration: Relevant professional registration with prescribing authority.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, clinical, and multidisciplinary working abilities.
