What you will do

• Act as the Responsible Person (RP) for Blood Transfusion services at Band 8a level.
• Provide operational leadership across Blood Sciences and Blood Transfusion services.
• Utilise your MHRA inspection experience to address and close non-conformities effectively.
• Lead on Blood Transfusion governance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure completion and submission of annual compliance reports.
• Maintain full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
• Oversee policy implementation, quality management systems, and service improvement initiatives.
• Support staff development, training, and competency assessment within Blood Transfusion services.
• Monitor performance indicators and ensure adherence to national standards and best practice guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders across multiple sites.

Requirements

• HCPC Registration: Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
• Blood Transfusion Experience: Significant senior-level experience within Blood Transfusion and Blood Sciences.
• MHRA Expertise: Previous experience supporting or leading MHRA inspections and managing non-conformities.
• Responsible Person Experience: Ability to undertake the Responsible Person role for Blood Transfusion services.
• GMP Knowledge: Strong understanding and application of Good Manufacturing Practice standards.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing teams, services, and quality systems.
• Driving Licence: Car driver preferred due to cross-site working requirements.
