What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide treatment for patients with complex rehabilitation needs.
• Deliver specialist physiotherapy interventions within palliative care and respiratory rehabilitation settings.
• Independently manage a complex and varied caseload, developing and reviewing personalised treatment plans.
• Support symptom management and functional rehabilitation to maximise quality of life and independence.
• Undertake respiratory assessments and deliver evidence-based respiratory treatments and interventions.
• Empower palliative care patients to achieve their individual goals and maintain optimal levels of function.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
• Provide education, advice, and support to patients, carers, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely clinical records, reports, and documentation.
• Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement activities where appropriate.

Requirements

• Professional Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
• HCPC Registration: Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
• Specialist Experience: Previous experience at Band 7 level within Palliative Care and/or Respiratory Rehabilitation.
• Clinical Expertise: Strong assessment, treatment planning, and clinical reasoning skills.
• Autonomous Practice: Ability to independently manage complex caseloads and make sound clinical decisions.
• Multidisciplinary Working: Experience working effectively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and documentation skills.

Desirable

• NHS Experience: Previous NHS experience is highly desirable.
• Community Rehabilitation Experience: Knowledge and experience of community-based rehabilitation services.
• Leadership Skills: Experience supervising junior staff and contributing to service development initiatives.
