What you will do:
- Develop strength-based, safe prescribing plans for substance use treatment, ensuring a personalised approach to care.
- Take accountability for your own prescribing practice, seeking advice when necessary to enhance your competency and knowledge.
- Optimise medication use and practice cost-effective prescribing.
- Safely assess and manage medically assisted community alcohol detoxes in accordance with policy directives.
- Contribute to the creation of detailed, person-centred risk assessments and management plans to safeguard all involved.
- Regularly review and revise prescribing plans with service users and Recovery Workers, ensuring alignment with organisational policy.
- Act swiftly to changes in service users' circumstances, fostering proactive engagement and re-engagement with prescribing services.
- Conduct and deliver specific clinical procedures and tasks within your training and competency level.
- Play a key role in multi-disciplinary team meetings and complex case reviews, occasionally taking on a chairing position.
- Support the continuous professional development and training of your colleagues, playing a part in their growth journey.
- Focus clinical and harm reduction interventions to meet clinical key performance indicators.
- Prioritise your own continuous professional development and engage actively in clinical supervision processes to support learning and development.
