What you will do

• Lead, supervise and support a dynamic team of Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, ASYEs and Trainee Social Workers to deliver top-tier safeguarding services.
• Take charge of overseeing assessments, care planning, reviews, and interventions, ensuring all statutory timescales are adhered to with precision.
• Manage Family Help and Child Protection plans, including pre-proceedings and court proceedings for enhanced child and family safeguarding.
• Provide safeguarding oversight while making complex decisions to improve outcomes for children and families.
• Monitor team performance through regular supervision, audits, quality assurance, and performance management, maintaining high standards and consistent outcomes.
• Engage collaboratively with partner agencies to implement effective multi-agency support and strategic planning.
• Maximise resource management and ensure efficient use of delegated budgets to guarantee value for money.
• Assist in recruitment, induction, as well as training and development of the team, fostering growth and stability within the department.
