What you will do

• Perform routine and complex obstetric ultrasound examinations.
• Undertake maternity ultrasound assessments in accordance with local and national guidelines.
• Assess fetal growth, wellbeing, and development.
• Produce accurate ultrasound reports and clinical documentation.
• Identify and escalate abnormal findings appropriately.
• Support antenatal diagnostic pathways.
• Work collaboratively with Midwives, Obstetricians, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
• Contribute to service quality and governance requirements.
• Manage ultrasound clinics independently.

Requirements

• Qualified Sonographer with relevant professional registration.
• Experience as a Band 7 Sonographer with maternity and obstetric ultrasound expertise.
• Ability to independently perform and report obstetric scans.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary maternity services.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage an autonomous caseload.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience within NHS maternity ultrasound services.
• Experience with complex obstetric imaging.
• Fetal medicine experience.
• Experience contributing to service development initiatives.
