What you will do:

  • Support and manage a team of social workers and mental health professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and assistance to adults with mental health needs.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act, integrating statutory adult social care insights into practice.
  • Engage directly with service users, providing expertise and guidance to improve their wellbeing and support systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records, ensuring clear communication throughout service provisions.

Requirements of the Assistant Team Manager:

  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in social work, with current registration with Social Work England.
  • Possess recent management experience in roles such as Team Manager, Deputy Team Manager or Assistant Team Manager.
  • Significant frontline experience in adult services, demonstrating strong capabilities within mental health social care.
  • Familiarity and understanding of statutory adult social care, including the intricacies of the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act.
