What you will do:

  • Welcome participants and provide a professional, friendly, and supportive experience throughout their clinic visit.

  • Explain clinic procedures and assist with informed consent processes in accordance with organisational policies.

  • Carry out clinical observations including blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, and other health measurements.

  • Safely perform venepuncture procedures and collect blood samples in line with clinical guidelines and competency requirements.

  • Label, process, and prepare biological samples for laboratory transport and testing.

  • Record participant information and clinical data accurately using electronic systems.

  • Ensure clinical equipment is cleaned, maintained, and calibrated in accordance with local procedures.

  • Maintain high standards of infection prevention, health and safety, and clinical governance.

  • Monitor participants throughout appointments and escalate any concerns appropriately.

  • Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and data protection requirements while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages to ensure smooth clinic operations.

  • Assist with clinic opening, setup, and end-of-day closure procedures.

  • Work collaboratively with healthcare, research, and operational teams to ensure efficient service delivery.

  • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and person-centred care in all interactions.

  • Participate in mandatory training, supervision, and ongoing professional development activities.
