What will you be doing?As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced Maths teachers to support students across the curriculum.You'll provide additional guidance to pupils who need extra support, helping them understand challenging concepts and become more confident and independent learners.Key responsibilitiesAs a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small-group supportto students in MathsHelp students understand mathematical concepts and apply their knowledgeSupport pupils who may lack confidence in Maths or require additional guidanceAssist teachers with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasksEncourage students to engage positively with their learningSupport students with problem-solving and independent studyWork collaboratively with Maths teachers and the wider support teamMonitor student progress and provide feedback where appropriate What are we looking for?The ideal candidate will have: A Mathematics or closely related degree, ideally at 2:1 or aboveStrong mathematical knowledge and the ability to communicate ideas clearlyA genuine interest in working with young peopleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPatience, enthusiasm and a positive attitudePrevious experience working with children or young people (desirable, but not essential) You don't need previous school experience.
