Manage cases through Care Proceedings when required. Take cases to Initial Child Protection Case Conferences. Complete assessments using the Single Assessment Framework. Undertake care planning and provide appropriate signposting to families. Complete risk assessments and write high-quality reports for conferences and court. Participate in and contribute to multi-agency case conferences and meetings. Prepare Section 17 reports and other documentation for Family Court. Draft initial court statements and apply for Emergency Care Orders where necessary. Attend court and provide professional evidence. Undertake home visits to monitor situations and safeguard children. Chair and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings to coordinate intervention plans. Requirements Essential Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration. Experience working in a Children’s Assessment / Front Door / Safeguarding Team. Strong knowledge of Children Act legislation, safeguarding procedures, and care proceedings.
