What you will do

• Support the Team Manager or Deputy Team Manager in embedding Birmingham Children's Trust's Connections Count Practice Model across the service.
• Deliver effective interventions and support programmes designed to reduce reoffending and improve outcomes for young people.
• Develop specialist knowledge and contribute to best practice within the Youth Justice Service.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, audits, and service reviews.
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver high-quality Youth Justice services in line with legislation and evidence-based practice.
• Manage and oversee complex casework, ensuring accurate and timely record keeping.
• Support the induction, mentoring, and development of new or less experienced staff members.
• Engage positively with young people, families, carers, and professionals to achieve agreed outcomes.
• Ensure service user records comply with Youth Justice Service standards and requirements.
• Participate in training, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to workload management and support the achievement of Key Performance Indicators.
• Assist in the development and delivery of evidence-based group programmes and individual interventions.
• Manage high-profile and complex cases, taking the lead where required.
• Chair meetings involving young people and their families as appropriate.
• Represent the Youth Justice Service at professional, partnership, and strategic meetings.
• Undertake managerial responsibilities in the absence of senior managers when required.
• Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in line with Birmingham City Council policies.
