Social Worker Children with Disabilities in Kensington earning £37.52 per hour Hourly. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ongoing contract as a Social Worker specialising in Children with Disabilities within the Children with Disabilities Family Help Service Team in the heart of Kensington, UK. With competitive pay and flexible working hours, this role offers a great balance for both full-time and part-time candidates. Core hours are typically 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, but you can adjust to suit your needs, such as 8am to 6pm four days a week, or 8am to 4pm. What you will do:
- Arrange respite breaks for children and their families to provide essential support and relief.
- Conduct comprehensive home visits to safeguard and promote child welfare.
- Perform initial assessments to understand the specific needs of each child and family within the community.
- Develop, arrange, and review care plans in consultation with relevant professionals like occupational therapists.
- Manage direct payments and carry out risk assessments to ensure children's safety.
- Attend reviews for looked after children and core group meetings to support ongoing care and development.
- Undertake parenting assessments and address Section 47 enquiries meticulously.
- Conduct educational needs assessments to support children's learning and development.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you will need a degree or equivalent in social work, along with current registration with Social Work England. Significant frontline experience within UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker is essential, providing you with the skills and knowledge to make an impactful difference.
