What you will do
- Lead and coordinate Section 42 safeguarding enquiries in accordance with the Care Act 2014.
- Undertake complex assessments of risk, need, capacity, and protective factors for adults with care and support needs.
- Develop, implement, and review safeguarding plans that are outcome-focused and person-centred.
- Screen and triage safeguarding concerns, gathering and analysing information to inform decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with health services, police, housing providers, care organisations, and voluntary agencies within multi-agency safeguarding frameworks.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work (BA, MA, DipSW or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Successful completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) where applicable.
- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Registration & Compliance:
- Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
Experience:
- Previous experience within a UK Local Authority Adult Social Care setting.
- Experience undertaking adult safeguarding enquiries and managing complex cases.
