What you will do:

  • Quality assure fostering assessments, annual reviews, and case records, ensuring high standards of practice are consistently met.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of case files and documentation, ensuring compliance with legislation, fostering regulations, safeguarding requirements, and organisational policies.
  • Diligently monitor the quality and timeliness of recording, statutory visits, reviews, and other key social work processes.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support, guiding social workers and managers to improve practice and service delivery.
  • Prepare detailed audit findings, quality assurance reports, and performance data for management and regulatory purposes.
  • Play a key role in preparing the service for inspections, ensuring evidence of good practice and compliance is available.
  • Identify emerging trends, risks, and areas for improvement, and contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Promote best practice by assisting with policy development, training, and the implementation of quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve positive outcomes for children, young people, and foster carers.
  • Ensure safeguarding concerns, complaints, and incidents are appropriately monitored, reviewed, and acted upon in line with statutory guidance.
