What you will do:

- Manage and coordinate the timely completion of SEND assessments and reviews, ensuring compliance with statutory processes.
- Provide critical guidance to the SEND Assessment and Reviews Team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Advocate for the application of the graduated response for meeting the needs of children and young people from 0-25 years in Stockton Borough.
- Play an integral role in monitoring and reporting statutory timescales, understanding financial implications and outcomes of assessments.
- Champion the implementation of new EHCP formats and schedules, enhancing the educational planning process.
- Develop stronger partnerships with schools and other settings to meet children's needs promptly.
- Encourage person-centred planning, enhancing connections between families and the Local Authority.
- Support the Preparation for Adulthood agenda, contributing to broader strategic goals.
- Facilitate collaboration across Children’s Services and with external partners to benefit families.
