What you will do

  • Complete Occupational Therapy assessments for children and young people, ensuring they receive the support they need.
  • Oversee and manage your cases through to completion as part of the Waiting List Clearance Project.
  • Assess equipment and adaptation requirements for each case, making necessary recommendations.
  • Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and provide detailed reports.
  • Conduct face-to-face visits with families to gain insights and deliver effective care plans.
  • Document all records and assessments using the Mosaic system.
  • Arrange the provision of essential equipment as required.
  • Initiate major adaptation referrals for those appropriate cases.
  • Secure manager sign-off and ensure case closures are handled efficiently.
  • Work independently while maintaining a high standard of professional care.

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy, supported by HCPC registration.
  • Significant experience in Children's Occupational Therapy and Social Care.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously whilst managing complex cases.
  • Competency in conducting assessments, making equipment recommendations, and processing adaptation referrals.
  • Exceptional report writing and case management skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with the Mosaic system.
  • Experience with Local Authorities and waiting list clearance projects.
  • Knowledge in moving and handling.
  • Extensive experience in Children's Social Care Occupational Therapy.
