We are on the hunt for a Band 6 Neurological Speech and Language Therapist in Dartford, Kent, where you can earn up to £26.96 per hour on an ongoing basis. This part-time role requires 22.5 hours per week and involves working with the Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy Team. You will be covering areas including Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley, and Swale, managing a community-based caseload with a diverse range of settings such as home visits, nursing homes, and rehabilitation wards.

What you will do

  • Assess and treat adults with dysphagia and communication difficulties.
  • Manage a community caseload across various settings.
  • Work with patients who have dementia, experience strokes, or have progressive neurological and elderly care needs.
  • Deliver thorough swallowing assessments and interventions.
  • Provide communication assessments and the necessary therapy.
  • Conduct both face-to-face and virtual interventions.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Qualifications / Requirements

Your role requires a Degree in Speech & Language Therapy, HCPC registration, dysphagia competency, and adult community experience. Experience with neurological conditions and stroke patients, as well as strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills, will be highly valued. While EMIS experience is desirable, training can be provided.
