What you will do:
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments within mental health settings. Develop and implement personalised care plans, using specialist knowledge of OT interventions and outcome measures. Provide guidance and support to junior staff and students, ensuring the highest standard of practice. Execute risk assessments and manage risk effectively to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic and coordinated care. Contribute to the ongoing development of services to maximise quality and efficiency.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
You must hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy. A recent track record of working within the UK as an Occupational Therapist is essential. Previous experience in the NHS will be highly beneficial. Registration with the HCPC is required, alongside substantial post-registration experience. A demonstrated ability to apply specialist occupational therapy skills and interventions in mental health settings is essential.
