An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Mental Health Social Care Team in Richmond. This full-time, ongoing locum role offers a competitive hourly rate of £32.00 and the flexibility of hybrid working, combining remote work with office-based duties at Twickenham Civic Centre. You will play a vital role in supporting adults aged 18–75 with severe and enduring mental health needs, making a meaningful and lasting impact within the community.

What you will do

• Complete complex Care Act assessments and reviews to identify and meet social care needs

• Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and Carers Assessments

• Lead on safeguarding concerns, including Section 42 enquiries

• Prepare detailed Social Circumstance Reports for Mental Health Tribunals

• Apply strength-based practice to promote independence and empowerment

• Contribute to Duty work, ensuring responsive and effective service delivery

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience

• Proven ability to manage complex mental health cases

• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and multi-agency working
