What you will do:
- Carry out Multi-Agency Risk Assessments ensuring thorough evaluation of each situation.
- Communicate timely with families via phone and in-person, keeping everyone informed and involved.
- Analyse historical and current concerns to make well-rounded decisions.
- Adhere to relevant timescales for all activities and ensure efficient case management.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation of all actions and decisions.
- Offer clear telephone advice to agency referrers about appropriate actions and expected outcomes.
- Respond to Section 47 enquiries to assess risk and need for children and families involved.
- Complete enhanced screenings of cases to support informed decision-making.
- Make informed threshold decisions to guide appropriate referrals and actions.
- Provide signposting to locality services, ensuring families access the right resources.
- Attend and actively participate in strategy meetings and multi-agency gatherings.
- Ensure that appropriate investigative pathways are followed for ongoing cases.

Requirements of the Social Worker:
- A Degree or equivalent qualification in social work is required.
- Current registration with Social Work England is essential.
- Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK is needed; being a qualified Social Worker means you’ll navigate this role with confidence.
