What you will do:

• Conduct Core Assessments, pre-birth assessments, and risk assessments to ensure child safety and well-being.
• Undertake Section 47 Child protection investigations and gather comprehensive information.
• Prepare and write detailed Statements for court proceedings.
• Complete Section 7 and 37 reports for court requirements.
• Represent the authority in court by providing clear and accurate evidence.
• Carry out home visits to monitor and safeguard children, maintaining up-to-date case records.
• Convening and chairing core group meetings and liaising with other professionals for cohesive action plans.
• Conduct joint investigations and interviews alongside police efforts.
• Starting and executing care proceedings and reviewing and implementing Care Plans effectively.
• Oversee contact sessions and prepare case conference reports, attending relevant meetings.
• Formulate and complete Child in Need plans to aid families.

Requirements:

• Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in social work, with current Social Work England registration.
• Demonstrate significant frontline experience within UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
