What you will do:

- Undertake thorough dysphagia assessments
- Assess and manage swallowing difficulties
- Support patients experiencing communication challenges
- Deliver targeted Speech and Language Therapy interventions
- Develop and review individualised treatment plans
- Work proactively within a Mental Health Ward setting
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records and reports
- Provide valuable advice and education to patients, carers, and staff
- Ensure safe and effective patient care at all times


Requirements:

- Degree or Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Proven dysphagia experience
- Skills in conducting dysphagia assessments
- Experience supporting communication difficulties
- Mental Health sector experience
- Ability to work independently with strong clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication and report-writing proficiency
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Previous Band 7 Speech and Language Therapy experience
- Inpatient Mental Health experience
- Experience managing complex communication needs
