JOB-20241107-791d94d2Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Senior Sensory Social Worker within the Adult Integrated Multi-Disciplinary Team to work Full Time for Hull.The salary for this Senior Sensory Social Worker job is up to £41,511 per annum. Main duties: To promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and/or vulnerable adults.Supervises and develops staff through a variety of forum e.g. 1-1 practice development, reflected practice, mentor, coaching including providing honest and constructive challenge/feedback.Engages in complex cases that require autonomous decision-making, multi-agency/disciplinary co-ordination and or legal preparation and planning. This would also include undertaking S42 Enquiries into safeguarding concerns.Implements council policies and procedures to effectively manage staff and team activity. Work with the Information Officer and other relevant post holders and organisations to make sure the information and advice provided to citizens is of a high standard and is accessible. To support development and use of Connect to Support, making sure that it enables citizens to independently gain access to quality information and advice about sensory impairment and that people can find and gain access to organisations, agencies and providers that can support them with suitable services and products.Contributes to team planning, effectiveness and responsiveness. Supports team manager with improving practice and performance of individuals/team by providing day-to-day education and supervision.Actively engages in practice development forums/meetings ensuring focussed and purposeful discussions lead to improved social work practice providing professional input as required.Contributes to the education/learning and development of newly qualified/newly appointed social workers by overseeing their induction/completion of ASYE.As directed prepares and attends decision making forums including supporting co-workers with decisions relating to complex/high risk cases.Works collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that people’s outcomes are achieved e.g. facilitating joint reviews/assessments.Ensures that case recording is accurate, up to date, in line with legislation and is available for a variety of purposes e.g. multi-agency, meetings, strategy meetings, panels, reviews, court.Supports Line Manager to review working practices to deliver a continuously improving responsive service that recognises individual need, strengths and resilience communicates and encourages innovation, motivation, understanding and vision.
