What You Will Do
Undertake statutory assessments for children with disabilities and their families, developing comprehensive and person-centred support plans.
Develop and implement Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care Plans, ensuring children’s welfare and safety remain the priority.
Conduct safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments in line with statutory safeguarding frameworks.
Collaborate with professionals across education, health services, and specialist disability teams to deliver coordinated and holistic support.
Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, case conferences, and reviews, advocating for the best interests of children.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring high standards of documentation and service delivery.
Promote independence, inclusion, and positive outcomes for children and their families through strengths-based practice.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
Current Social Work England registration.
Experience working within Children’s Social Care, ideally supporting children with disabilities.
Strong knowledge of UK safeguarding legislation and statutory frameworks relating to children and families.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and manage complex cases.
Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills.
