Following significant investment and continued expansion, the business is seeking a proactive engineer to support the maintenance and reliability of site facilities, utilities, and building services within a fast-paced production environment.The successful candidate will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repair work across a wide range of facilities and site service equipment while ensuring full compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations.Sector: Industrial Manufacturing / Facilities Maintenance Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Facilities Engineer Previous facilities maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing or production environment.Hands-on experience carrying out planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance on building services and site facilities equipment.Strong understanding of health & safety procedures and safe systems of work within an industrial environment. Requirements for the Facilities Engineer Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills.Experience maintaining industrial facilities, utilities, and building services equipment.Experience with preventative maintenance systems and reactive maintenance activities.Ability to work independently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Desirable Requirements for the Facilities Engineer Experience working within the UK manufacturing sector.Knowledge of HVAC systems, compressors, boilers, water systems, and site utilities.Experience with facilities compliance, statutory inspections, and contractor management. Typical Responsibilities of the Facilities Engineer Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on site facilities and utility systems.Maintaining building services equipment including HVAC systems, compressors, pumps, lighting, extraction systems, and electrical distribution equipment.Responding to breakdowns and minimising downtime across site infrastructure and services.Supporting maintenance of utilities including compressed air, water systems, heating, ventilation, and factory services.Conducting routine inspections and ensuring all facilities equipment remains compliant and operational.Assisting with contractor supervision and ensuring all external works are completed safely and to required standards.Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in line with health & safety legislation and company policies.
