What you will do:

• Manage a complex caseload of children and families requiring assessment, support and safeguarding intervention.
• Undertake Child and Family Assessments, Section 17 enquiries and Section 47 investigations where appropriate.
• Lead on complex safeguarding cases, providing expert risk assessment and decision-making.
• Work collaboratively with police, health professionals, schools, Early Help services and voluntary sector partners to develop coordinated support plans.

Person Specification:

• Degree in Social Work or recognised equivalent qualification.
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Evidence of continued professional development in safeguarding and children's services.
• Significant post-qualification experience within Children's Social Care.
• Experience managing complex child protection, child-in-need and safeguarding cases.
