What you will do:
- Manage a complex caseload of children and families requiring assessment, support and safeguarding intervention.
- Undertake Child and Family Assessments, Section 17 enquiries and Section 47 investigations where appropriate.
- Lead on complex safeguarding cases, providing expert risk assessment and decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with police, health professionals, schools, Early Help services and voluntary sector partners to develop coordinated support plans.
Person Specification:
- Degree in Social Work or recognised equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Evidence of continued professional development in safeguarding and children's services.
- Significant post-qualification experience within Children's Social Care.
- Experience managing complex child protection, child-in-need and safeguarding cases.
