What you will do:

• Support the Team Manager in the operational management of MAST, ensuring effective service delivery and statutory compliance.
• Provide supervision, case consultation, and practice guidance to social workers, family support practitioners, and newly qualified staff.
• Oversee the assessment and management of complex safeguarding referrals, ensuring that threshold decisions are timely, proportionate, and evidence-based.
• Lead on complex Child in Need, Child Protection, and safeguarding cases, providing professional oversight and risk management support.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work or recognised equivalent qualification.
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in children's safeguarding and leadership practice.

Experience and Compliance:

• Significant post-qualification experience within Children's Social Care.
• Experience working within MAST, MASH, Assessment, Front Door, or Referral and Assessment services.
• Registered with Social Work England.
