What you will do:

• Conduct complex Occupational Therapy assessments within Adult Social Care.
• Manage challenging cases, ensuring each plan is tailored to individual needs.
• Lead on conducting risk assessments and developing risk management plans.
• Assess and recommend specialist equipment, moving and handling solutions, and housing adaptations, including Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) works.
• Provide professional supervision and mentorship to both Occupational Therapists and support staff.
• Support service development and engage in quality improvement projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies to deliver comprehensive care solutions.

Requirements:

• A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration are essential.
• Proven experience in Adult Social Care and community-based Occupational Therapy.
• Proficient in managing complex cases with a strong foundation in safeguarding and risk management.
• Competent in providing equipment, conducting moving and handling assessments, and making housing adaptations.
• Strong supervisory, mentoring, and leadership skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and relevant Occupational Therapy legislation.
