What you will do
- Provide professional information, assessment, and support to empower children, young people, and their families to access a variety of services aimed at reducing risks and enhancing their quality of life.
- Liaise with internal and external partners to gather relevant information for assessing and reviewing care planning activities.
- Accurately record and critically analyse information, adhering to organisational policies and fulfilling responsibilities for safeguarding.
- Undertake statutory duties related to safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and families entrusted to your care.
- Work collaboratively across organisational boundaries and contribute to multi-agency teams to deliver seamless service responses to children, young people, and their families with multiple needs.
- Maintain and update case notes and other records, prepare statements or reports, and attend and provide evidence in court proceedings related to care, private law, and adoption.
- Develop expertise in specific areas of children’s social care practice, becoming a trusted source of reliable knowledge and advice within the team.
- Investigate allegations of neglect or ill-treatment, balancing needs and risks with rights and choices, promoting positive outcomes for children and their families.
- Provide oversight of cases and offer clear directions and supportive actions within appropriate timescales to team members.
