What you will do
- Manage a complex caseload of adolescents under Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings plans.
- Conduct in-depth risk assessments focusing on exploitation, extra-familial harm, missing episodes, trauma, and contextual safeguarding issues.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, assessments, and statements for court proceedings, child protection conferences, and statutory reviews.
- Lead complex safeguarding investigations and oversee multi-agency risk management plans.
- Offer professional consultation, mentoring, and reflective practice support to less experienced social workers and ASYE practitioners.
Qualifications
- A degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Evidence of continued professional development in areas such as safeguarding, adolescent risk, or contextual safeguarding practice.
- Practice Educator Award or Advanced Practitioner training is desirable.
Registration and Compliance
- Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
Experience
- Demonstrable post-qualifying experience within Children's Social Care.
- Proven track record of managing complex safeguarding and child protection cases.
