What you will do

• Manage a caseload of service users, delivering structured key-working sessions and recovery-focused interventions to ensure comprehensive support.
• Complete comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and recovery plans in line with organisational policies, fostering an environment for recovery.
• Deliver harm reduction advice, overdose prevention education, and safer substance use interventions, safeguarding the health of service users.
• Support individuals accessing prescribing services, detoxification pathways, and wider treatment programmes to facilitate a holistic recovery approach.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, social care teams, housing services, probation, and voluntary sector partners to ensure integrated care and support for service users.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Substance Misuse Practice, or equivalent qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
• Relevant training in substance misuse, mental health, safeguarding, or recovery support is desirable.

Registration & Compliance

• Enhanced DBS check required.

Experience

• Experience supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse.
• Experience managing a caseload within health, social care, criminal justice, housing, or voluntary sector services.
• Proven experience in substance misuse (drugs & alcohol) with strong caseload management and key-working skills.
• Good understanding of harm reduction and recovery models.
