Occupational Therapist – Adult Social Care (OT & Sensory Service)
Location: Hackney, London
Rate: 25.48 euros/hour

Contract: Temporary/Agency

Working Pattern: Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Social Care OT & Sensory Service in Hackney. You will carry out comprehensive community-based assessments for adults with complex physical disabilities, promoting independence and preventing the need for ongoing care through person-centred, strength-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete Occupational Therapy assessments under the Care Act 2014.
• Assess functional needs and recommend specialist equipment, adaptations, Telecare, and assistive technology.
• Carry out moving and handling, risk, and environmental assessments.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and review care plans.
• Support safeguarding adults, maintain accurate case records, and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants where required.

Essential Requirements:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
• Experience within Adult Social Care or a community Occupational Therapy setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and Disabled Facilities Grant process.
• Experience with housing adaptations, equipment provision, and strength-based practice.
• Enhanced DBS.
