What you will do:

- Provide leadership and guidance to the midwifery team, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
- Implement and monitor clinical guidelines and safety standards, focusing on up-to-date, evidence-based practice.
- Oversee the management of resources and staff development, boosting team morale and performance.
- Lead quality audits, risk management, and initiatives to improve service delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong communication pathways between healthcare professionals and expectant families.
- Utilize your expertise in areas such as the Baby Friendly Initiative or induction of labour.

Requirements for the role:

To excel in this role, you must be a Registered Midwife with an active NMC registration, holding a degree in a relevant field. Ideally, you will also have a Masters-level qualification. A minimum of 3–5 years of post-registration experience in diverse clinical settings is essential. You should possess a proven ability to lead and manage a team, alongside strong IT, communication, and negotiation skills. Previous experience with clinical audits, risk management, and service quality improvement is also necessary. Maintaining the highest professional standards, you will embody integrity and patient-centered care.
