Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator
Location: Dewsbury
Contract: Temporary – 2 months
Hours: Full-time
Pay Rate: £22.00 - £25.00 per hour

Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator to support individuals on their recovery journey, helping service users overcome barriers, reduce harm and achieve positive long-term outcomes.

This role is ideal for an experienced Recovery Worker, Substance Misuse Practitioner, Criminal Justice Worker, Drug and Alcohol Worker or Support Coordinator who is passionate about supporting vulnerable adults and delivering person-centred recovery services.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing tailored support to individuals affected by substance misuse, supporting engagement with treatment services, promoting independence and helping service users reintegrate into their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of service users, providing ongoing recovery coordination, support planning and case management.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, risk assessments and recovery plans using a strengths-based approach.
  • Provide tailored support to individuals experiencing drug and alcohol-related challenges.
  • Use motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive change and engagement.
  • Coordinate access to appropriate treatment services, community support and partner agencies.
  • Deliver one-to-one key work sessions, group support and recovery-focused interventions.
  • Provide harm reduction advice, including overdose prevention and safer substance use guidance.
  • Support service users to access education, employment, housing and community resources.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, criminal justice services, mental health teams and voluntary organisations.
  • Maintain accurate records, update case management systems and contribute to service reporting requirements.
  • Promote peer support, resilience and self-determination to help individuals achieve sustainable recovery.
  • Support the development of recovery communities and strengthen links with local support networks.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within substance misuse, criminal justice, recovery support, social care or community services.
  • Strong understanding of drug and alcohol issues and recovery-focused approaches.
  • Experience managing a caseload and delivering personalised support plans.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and confidentiality procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and partnership-working skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs is desirable.
