Hours: Full-time
Pay Rate: £23.00 - £25.00 per hour
Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for experienced Brief Intervention & Recovery Workers to support individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse, helping service users access support, reduce harm and achieve positive recovery outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Recovery Worker, Substance Misuse Worker, Drug and Alcohol Practitioner, Community Support Worker or Criminal Justice Recovery Worker who is passionate about delivering person-centred support and helping individuals make meaningful changes in their lives.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide practical advice, brief interventions, recovery-focused support and effective referrals to ensure service users receive the right support at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality drug and alcohol recovery support to individuals accessing the service.
- Deliver brief interventions and motivational support to encourage positive behaviour change.
- Complete assessments, identify support needs and contribute to personalised recovery plans.
- Provide advice, guidance and harm reduction support to service users.
- Work collaboratively with health professionals, mental health services, criminal justice agencies and community organisations.
- Support individuals to engage with appropriate treatment, recovery services and wider community support.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with service users while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Manage a caseload effectively, prioritising support based on individual needs and risk.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, case notes and service documentation.
- Contribute to achieving positive outcomes for service users through recovery-focused approaches.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion throughout all aspects of the role.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within substance misuse, drug and alcohol services, recovery support, health and social care or a related field.
- Strong understanding of drug and alcohol issues and recovery-focused practice.
- Experience providing support, advice or interventions to vulnerable adults.
- Ability to manage a caseload and work effectively within an outcomes-focused environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals and external agencies.
- Good IT skills with experience maintaining accurate records and completing reports.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and information governance.
- Commitment to supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including hard-to-reach and marginalised communities.
