What you will do:

- Perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic procedures and clinical assessments, working autonomously.
- Analyse and interpret specialist diagnostic test results, identifying new conditions or deterioration, referring as needed to specialists for optimal patient care.
- Counsel patients on care for their eye conditions, providing tailored information to maximise understanding and compliance.
- Explain treatment options, medication, and potential side effects with sensitivity, ensuring clear comprehension even in complex or distressing situations.
- Assess OCT scans and visual field results, making precise diagnoses and decisions for each patient to achieve the best outcomes.

Requirements:

- Degree or equivalent in Orthoptics.
- At least 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience in orthoptics.
- Prior experience in visual screening.
- HCPC registration required.
- A valid driving licence is essential for traveling between locations.

Desirable:

- Experience in delivering clinical audits.
- Experience in clinical supervising and tutoring.
