What you will do:

- Complete comprehensive assessments of prospective adopters, including interviews, home visits, and analysis of background information.
- Prepare detailed Prospective Adopter Reports PARs for panel, ensuring analytical, evidence-based recommendations.
- Present cases to the adoption panel and respond to queries, showcasing your expertise in adoption panel work.
- Contribute to matching children with suitable adopters, always prioritising the best outcomes for children.
- Assess risks, attachment needs, and parenting capacity to safeguard the well-being of prospective families.
- Provide guidance and informal supervision to less experienced social workers or assessing workers, nurturing the next generation of professionals.
- Liaise with health, education, and legal professionals throughout the adoption process, embodying effective multi-agency working.
- Support adopters through approval stages and early placement, ensuring they are ready and supported for their new roles.
