This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker Team Manager to lead the Care Experienced Young People’s Team within Bournemouth’s Children’s Social Care. The service supports young people from age 16 through their transition to independence, continuing support up to age 21 (or beyond where education is ongoing).

What you will do

• Lead and manage the Care Experienced Young People’s Team, ensuring high‑quality service delivery and positive outcomes.
• Oversee pathway planning and personalised support plans addressing education, employment, housing, health, and financial independence.
• Provide professional supervision, guidance, and leadership to social workers and personal advisors.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with housing, education, health, and employment services.
• Monitor team performance and implement improvement strategies to achieve statutory and service objectives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, guidance, and best practice in care‑experienced young people’s services.
• Promote a strengths‑based and relationship‑focused approach to supporting young people.
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives.
