What you will do

• Manage a caseload of safeguarding cases, including those that are complex and high-risk.

• Undertake statutory assessments such as Child in Need Section 17, Child Protection Section 47, or Care Act assessments, tailored to the service.

• Lead and respond to safeguarding enquiries, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.

• Develop and implement care plans, protection plans, or support plans to support the individuals in care.

Person Specification
Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent).

• Evidence of continued professional development.

Registration & Compliance

• Registered with Social Work England.

• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children for Children’s Services, or the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005 for Adults’ Services.

• Enhanced DBS clearance.
