What you will do

• Independently perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) to a high standard.

• Conduct and support advanced echo procedures, such as stress echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE) if competent.

• Interpret complex findings, including valvular disease, cardiomyopathies, and heart failure.

• Provide clinical advice to referring clinicians based on echocardiographic findings.

Person Specification
Qualifications

• Degree in Clinical Physiology, Healthcare Science, or equivalent.

• Accreditation with the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) or equivalent, along with evidence of continued professional development.

Registration & Compliance

• Registered with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) or equivalent is desirable.

• Knowledge of echocardiography standards and guidelines.

• Knowledge of cardiology clinical pathways and governance.

• Enhanced DBS clearance is essential.
