What you will do:
- Undertake the role of Duty Practitioner, responding effectively to urgent and routine referrals.
- Complete comprehensive initial assessments of children, young people, and their families.
- Carry out risk assessments and ongoing risk management to promote safe and effective care.
- Develop evidence-based case formulations and person-centred care plans.
- Manage a varied caseload, ensuring high-quality, timely interventions.
- Fulfil safeguarding responsibilities in line with local and national guidance.
- Deliver community-based mental health interventions across a range of settings.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to support integrated care planning.
- Attend child protection conferences, Team Around the Child (TAC) meetings, and other multi-agency forums as required.
- Build strong working relationships with schools, children's social care, voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, and other partner agencies to deliver coordinated support.
Requirements:
- Professional registration with the relevant governing body (such as NMC, HCPC, or Social Work England, depending on your professional background).
- Previous experience working within CAMHS is essential.
- Experience conducting mental health assessments, risk assessments, safeguarding, and case management.
- Community-based mental health experience with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical decision-making skills.
