What you will do:
- Manage a caseload of children and youth with disabilities, encompassing Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children processes.
- Carry out thorough Child and Family Assessments and devise outcome-oriented care and support plans.
- Lead safeguarding activities including risk assessments, safety planning, and statutory interventions complying with relevant legislation.
- Collaborate closely with multi-agency partners like health, education, and police to provide cohesive support for families.
- Offer mentorship, supervision, and professional guidance to less experienced social workers and family support staff.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- Possess a Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent.
- Show evidence of ongoing professional development in alignment with the Professional Capabilities Framework.
Registration & Compliance:
- Be registered with Social Work England.
- Maintain working knowledge of relevant legislation including the Children Act 1989 & 2004, Care Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice, and safeguarding frameworks.
