We have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in South Somerset, earning £39.43 per hour on an ongoing basis. This full-time locum role allows you to be part of a dynamic team committed to enhancing the lives of vulnerable young people and families while working from our Yeovil office three days a week.

What you will do:

• Work collaboratively with adult-focused practitioners to address areas like substance misuse, domestic abuse, and mental health.

• Conduct assessments and create well-informed plans to support children and families.

• Manage a varied caseload with the support of permanent Team Managers and Consultant Social Workers, enabling you to apply innovative approaches.

• Engage directly with children to understand their perspectives and experiences.

• Support families using a strengths-based approach, in collaboration with the wider family network.

• Participate in regular reflective supervision to enhance your professional practice.

This role demands a skilled and qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, possessing experience in child and family social work.
