What you will do:
- Manage a diverse caseload in guidance with the organisational needs of the Directorate on a daily basis.
- Conduct thorough assessments of children, young people, families, and carers to identify needs and determine appropriate actions while planning suitable service provisions.
- Engage in preventative and supportive work with families in need and undertake risk assessments as needed.
- Foster effective planning for children and young people involved in care, supervision, or adoption proceedings and those entering the looked-after system.
- Participate in training to maintain up-to-date knowledge and undertake daytime office duty on a rota basis as required.
- Contribute to the development of team members and students while maintaining accurate and organised case files.
- Create reports to aid decision-making and promote positive care planning outcomes for children and young people.
- Collaborate with foster carers and other stakeholders to develop a collective approach to supporting looked-after children.
- Encourage active participation from service users in the planning and provision of services while ensuring children can access independent advocates.
