What you will do:

- Undertake assessments of patients with complex needs, developing and implementing targeted care programmes.
- Lead and guide junior staff in delivering exceptional patient care and assist with their professional development.
- Conduct risk assessments and take action to minimise risks to patients with complex conditions.
- Serve as a team leader in emergency and acute situations, ensuring comprehensive patient and family support.
- Utilise data to inform clinical decisions and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes.

Training and Education:
- Lead health promotion activities and incorporate them into patient care planning.
- Mentor and supervise students and junior staff, fostering an environment conducive to learning and professional growth.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training, maintaining competence in additional skills and mandatory annual training.

Leadership/Managerial:
- Contribute to team recruitment and effective communication within the department.
- Address performance issues and assist team members with professional development plans.
- Serve as a professional role model, promoting high standards and organisational values.

Communication:
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams, respecting cultural and language differences.
- Manage conflicts and advocate for patients, families, and junior staff members.

Audit/Information Technology/Research Activity:
- Initiate and conduct clinical audits to maintain practice standards.
- Promote evidence-based practice and adapt new initiatives within the team.

Revalidation:
- Maintain effective registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, proactively engaging in Revalidation processes.
