What you will do:

- Conduct detailed and timely Initial Viability Assessments, making use of established frameworks like the DfE’s “Family and Friends Care” guidance or the CoramBAAF framework to evaluate and support potential carers.
- Engage with prospective carers, gathering comprehensive information regarding their capacity and desire to fulfil the child’s needs.
- Collaborate with children’s social workers, legal teams, and fostering services to deliver thorough and evidence-based advice.
- Participate in relevant court proceedings and meetings, such as LAC Reviews or Family Group Conferences, ensuring key insights are shared when required.
- Prepare articulate, well-reasoned reports within specific timelines, intended for court and other important gatherings.
- Identify and address safeguarding risks, making sure concerns are escalated appropriately to maintain child safety.
- Work together with internal teams and outside agencies, ensuring a rounded approach to assessment and decision-making.
