Theatre Nurse/ODP Scrub within a leading private hospital in Doncaster, earning between £31,720 and £39,000 per annum. What you will do:

  • Work as part of the theatre team to deliver exceptional, individualised patient care throughout the perioperative pathway.

  • Support surgical procedures by providing skilled scrub assistance and maintaining high clinical standards.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, consultants, and colleagues to ensure excellent patient experiences and service delivery.

  • Adhere to organisational policies, procedures, and best practice guidelines to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.

  • Plan and prepare equipment, instruments, and consumables required for surgical procedures.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient theatre environment at all times.

  • Participate in team activities, service improvements, and quality initiatives.

  • Support colleagues and contribute to the effective functioning of the wider theatre department.

  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with professional and regulatory requirements.

Person Specification:

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse or HCPC registration as an Operating Department Practitioner.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Strong customer service and patient care skills.

  • Good IT and computer literacy skills.

  • Commitment to maintaining high clinical standards and continuous professional development.

Desirable:

  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) qualification.

  • Surgical First Assistant (SFA) qualification.

  • Experience in major orthopaedic scrub practice.
