What you will do:

- Undertake complex Occupational Therapy assessments within the community.
- Assess and recommend specialist equipment, major adaptations, and specialist seating solutions.
- Complete moving and handling assessments and prescribe complex equipment.
- Carry out carers assessments, capacity assessments, and safeguarding-related work where appropriate.
- Review care packages and promote independence using strengths-based approaches.
- Monitor and allocate incoming referrals.
- Maintain accurate case records and statistics.
- Work in partnership with health, housing, voluntary, and statutory agencies.

Requirements:
- BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC Registration.
- Minimum 3 years' Adult Social Care experience or 3 years' Occupational Therapy experience in another setting.
- Experience working with complex adult cases.
- Experience prescribing complex moving and handling equipment.
- Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and related legislation.
- Experience with major adaptations and specialist equipment.
- Strong report writing, assessment, and case management skills.
- Specialist seating experience.
- Experience designing complex home adaptations.
- Experience supervising Occupational Therapy staff.
- Continuing Healthcare (CHC) knowledge.

Additional Information:

- Work within Adult Social Care Complex Occupational Therapy Services.
- Manage a caseload of adults with complex needs, multiple pathologies, and age-related conditions.
- Provide supervision and support to Occupational Therapy Assistants, Independent Living Assessors, and Sensory Officers.
- NRS authoriser responsibilities for equipment orders.
